The Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) is the post graduate level course offered by the all India medical and dental sciences colleges in India. The candidates can appear in the concerned exam, conducted by the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), which is generally scheduled to be held in the second week of January at different centres of examinations all over India. The MDS Entrance Exam is commonly called as the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) MDS Exam or All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam respectively.

Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates should possess the graduate degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) from any recognized Dental/ Medical colleges of India. Apart from this, the candidates should have completed one year internship of a minimum of 12 months duration from any recognized dental colleges of India.
Exam Pattern:
There shall be objective type questions having multiple choice based answers on the following: Basic Sciences, Clinical and Para Clinical subjects respectively.
Total Number of Questions: 200
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
Marking Criteria:
The candidates should get four marks for each correct answer marked by them whereas there will be no deduction for the incorrect answers marked by them.
The standard of questions shall be based on the under graduate degree syllabus respectively. The candidates can prepare on the lines of the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) syllabus.

The candidates must pay the requisite amount of application fee in either of the following modes- online payment through credit card/ debit card and offline payment through Demand Drafts drawn in favor of the concerned authority for this purpose.
