Moreover, the state owned broadcaster has also been asked by the government to pay attention to its software expenses and the operational costs, while the government continues to offer augmentation costs and the wages. The annual current earnings of Prasar Bharati have been calculated to be around 1300-1500 crores where its operational costs incurred is estimated to be 1500 crores. The sustainability of Prasar Bharati can be ensured if this downtrend is regulated.

The salary package being offered is 15,600/- to 39,100/- in addition to GP of Rs. 6600/-.
