The Tezpur University has recently invited applicants for admissions in UG, PG, PG Diploma and Ph.D Programmes for its new academic session 2014-15. All keen aspirants are requested to apply via any of online/ offline mode. This admission notice has already been published on its official gateway tezu.ernet.in. | Ph. D | Master’s Degree in relevant subject with good academic record and a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent CGPA in the Master’s degree. B.E./B. Tech. with an aggregate of 80% of marks or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE score. |
| P.G. Diploma in Tourism Management (PGDTM) | Bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 45% marks in major/honours subject or in aggregate. |
| MCA | Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in major / honours subject or 55% marks in aggregate for those candidates having no major/honours. Passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level. |
| M.Tech. in IT | B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in any discipline or MCA or its equivalent or M.Sc. in Computer Science / IT / Electronics / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. |
| M.Sc. in Physics | B.Sc. with minimum of 50% marks in major/honours in Physics having Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects. Candidate not having major/honours must have 55% marks in aggregate as well as in Physics. |
| M.A. in English | Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in major/honours in English. Candidates not having major/honours must have at least 50% marks in aggregate as well as in English. |
| B.Tech. in Civil Engineering | Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCM (Phys, Chemistry and Math) subjects at 10+2 and pass marks in English. |

Admission Process:
Applicants willing for admission in the B.Tech Programmes would be shortlisted on the grounds of their attainment in the CBSE conducted- JEE Mains on 6th April, 2014. Applicants willing for admission in the M.Sc. and B.Sc B.Ed Integrated programmes will be selected on the basis of common entrance exam in their respective departments. Applicants willing for admission in PG, PGD and Certificate Programmes will be selected on the grounds of Entrance exam held by the Tezpur University and GATE scores, whereas, those applying for Ph.D admissions will be selected on the grounds of written test and personal interview held by their respective departments. Applicants, who do not qualify these entrance exams, will not be entitled for admission in the university.

Application Procedure:
Interested and eligible aspirants can apply via Online mode from the University’s official website by remitting an application fee worth Rs.500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC& ST) in any branch of SBI through a portal generated Bank Challan. Candidates may also apply offline by sending a request to the Controller of Examinations, T.U. enclosed with a DD worth Rs.560/- ( Rs 310/- for SC/ST) favoring- Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur.
