Academic Pre Requisites:

Interested applicants, who wish to apply for this position, must be at least a Post Graduation degree holder in Veterinary Science in the discipline of Pathology, Wildlife Health, Surgery, Medicine or Microbiology OR a M.Sc. Degree in the discipline of Wildlife Science along with a veterinary background from a documented institute or university. In addition, those possessing a working experience of not less than 3 years in the field of wildlife ecology, population management, animal capture and understanding of management of animals in distress and sound publishing, writing and documentation abilities will be preferred.

JRF Wildlife Science Posts: 2 Vacancies

Place of Recruitment:

Dehradun (Uttarakhand)

Emoluments:

Applicants, shortlisted for the position of JRF will be remunerated with a consolidated salary of Rs. 12,000/- per month as fellowship. In case of NET qualified applicants (UGC/CSIR) for Research Fellows, the selected JRF will be paid consolidated salary of Rs. 16,000/- per month.

Essential Qualification:

Applicants need to be in possession of a Post Graduation Degree in any of the disciplines of Wildlife Science, Forestry, Forest Management, Environmental Science or Life Science scoring not less than 60% marks in aggregate from a documented Institute or University. However, those having ample experience in animal abundance estimation, carnivore sign surveys, camera trapping, radio-telemetry and proficiency in Statistics and GIS will be preferred.

Age Bar:

The ages of all applicants must not exceed the age bar of 28 years for the post of JRF as on 21^st June 2014. Nevertheless, the upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of applicants who belong to SC, ST, OBC, Women and physically handicap categories.
