The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted every year by the Xavier Labor and Research Institute (XLRI) for short listing eligible and qualified candidates in regular two year degree or diploma courses in Management. The exam is conducted every year in the January months at different cities as designated centres of examination all over India. The applicants who are preparing for the concerned examination and wish to participate in the same must go through the details of eligibility, selection and application procedure etc from information as given here below.
Details of XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2015 –
Name of Exam: Xavier Aptitude Test
Name of Conducting Organization: XLRI –Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur
Courses of Admission: MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates should be having a bachelors’ degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any recognized university/ college. The candidates who are appearing for the final year of exam in graduation may also apply provided they complete their course by 10th June 2015.
Exam Structure:
The candidates shall be tested on the basis of an objective type paper-pencil test having following major sections:
Section 1: Quantitative Ability
Section 2: English Language & Logical Reasoning
Section 3: Decision Making and
Section 4: General Knowledge & Essay Writing (Paper 2)
Total Time Allotted: 3 Hours
Marking Criteria:
The candidates shall be given one mark for each question correctly answered and 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer marked by them.

Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatanam respectively.
Selection Procedure:
The candidates shall be selected on the basis of their performances in the written exam conducted for this purpose on dates specified.
Application Procedure:
The candidates should apply online in the manner as prescribed at the website xatonline.net.in. The candidates will be required to pay Rs 2000 in the form of Demand Drafts in favor of authorities concerned toward application fee. The completed forms in modes specified shall be forwarded at the address given below.
