BHU PMT Application Form 2014 Admission Process & Entrance Exam
The Banaras Hindu University conducts the entrance exam for admitting all the eligible candidates in the MBBS course and other courses available under the Institute of Medical Studies (IMS). The entrance exam is organized every year by the Banaras Hindu University in the months of April/ May respectively. There are basically two papers (prelims and mains) held for the selection of applicants applying for the concerned entrance exam.
BHU PMT 2014 Details:
The BHU PMT (Pre Medical Test) is the All India Level Entrance Test held for all the candidates who wish to take admissions in the MBBS Programme of the university in the IMS. The test is conducted at two levels which include –Prelims and Mains respectively. The entrance exam is mostly conducted by the university in the months of May- June. The students who are found eligible can appear in the Prelims Exam which is followed by the Mains Exam held shortly after the Prelims for all the qualified candidates only.
Paper Pattern of the BHU PMT:
There are basically two sections in the question paper containing objective type multiple choice based questions of total 200 Marks. The question paper is based on the questions on Biology, Chemistry and Physics respectively. Each correct answer carries 2 marks and a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answer attempted by the candidate.
The second section of the paper contains a total of 100 questions; divided into 25 questions from each subject (Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany) of the paper.
The applications will be informed online at the website of the BHU about the application procedure for the PMT Exam 2014. The candidates can apply in either online or offline modes for the concerned exam. The application forms are released by the first week of January for all the candidates.
The candidates can pay the application fee through the Demand Drafts drawn in favor of “The Registrar Banaras Hindu University”. The candidates can even pay the application fee online at the website of the university through debit/ credit cards for this purpose.
