Bihar Teacher Recruitment Exam:
The Bihar State Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted for recruiting candidates in the post of Teachers for the different government schools imparting education in the higher secondary and senior secondary levels. The candidates who wish to become Primary Teachers (Class I-V) should qualify the first paper of the TET Exam and the candidates who want to become Secondary/ Upper Primary Teachers (Class VI-VIII) should qualify in both the papers of the exam.
The Bihar State will be recently organizing the Bihar Elementary Urdu/ Bengla (Special) Teacher Eligibility Test 2014 for all the candidates. The exam is usually announced in June/July months and the exam is held in the October. The candidates preparing for the concerned exam can get the details of the recruitment from the official website of the Bihar Board i.e. bihartet.co.in.
Eligibility for the TET Exam:
The candidates in order to be eligible for the TET Exam must have passed Intermediate/ Class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks along with a Diploma of two years in the Elementary Education or four years of degree in Bachelors of Elementary Education or a three years of degree in Bachelor of Arts OR Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Education with a minimum of 50% marks for this purpose.
Pattern of TET Exam:
The paper of the Teacher Eligibility Test consists of two objective type papers based on the 150 Multiple Choice Questions of 1 mark each. The candidates in order to become teachers in the Primary Level (Class I to V) should qualify in the first paper only and the candidates wishing to become the teachers in the Secondary Level (Class VI to VIII) should qualify in both the papers. The question paper contains the questions on the following main sections:
Child Development and Pedagogy- 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Language I -30 Questions (30 Marks)
Language II- 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Mathematics- 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Environmental Studies- 30 Questions (30 Marks)
For Paper II:
For Mathematics & Science Teachers- Mathematics & Science
For Social Studies/ Social Science Teachers- Social Science
For any other Subject Teacher- either of the above two
