Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) was established in the year 2006 on 15^th of August Chanakya National Law University Act, Bihar Act No.: 24 of 2006, 2006 and the same was included in the section 2(f) and 12(B) 1956 of the U.G.C. Act at Patna, Bihar under the guidance of Prof. Dr. A. Lakshminath, Vice – Chancellor cum Pro – Chancellor, former Dean & Registrar at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Eligibility Standards:

Candidates who are willing to apply in the under graduate programmes of Chanakya National Law University must have been previously qualified the degree of Higher Secondary under any renowned board of education in any stream with minimum marks secured, to be eligible for the courses that the university has offered recently.

The age of candidates should not be less than 20 years (for SC / ST candidates, the criteria for upper age is 22 years)

The applicants who wish to get admission in the LLM programmes offered by the University should have been cleared LL.B. or integrated LL.B. or some other equivalent Degree examination programme having secured at least 55% of the marks aggregate (50% for SC / ST).

Appearing candidates of the final year qualifying exam are welcome to send their application for admission which will purely be provisional and failure in that examination will subject for rejection of their admission.
