CMAT Exam 2014 Details of Entrance Examination and Results

The AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) conducts the CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) every year to provide candidates admission all the AICTE approved colleges/ institutes of management coming under it. The entrance exam is held twice a year in the months of January/ February and June/ July through online modes of applications made available at the website aicte-cmat.in. The candidates who have appeared in the first test can also apply in the second one; the admissions will be done on the basis of the best of the two scores.

CMAT 2014 Registration:

The registration for the CMAT Second round of tests is already over. The candidates were required to submit online application for the exam scheduled to be held in February 2014 for all the candidates. The exam was conducted in computer modes only. The candidates will now appear in the June exam, the online advertisements for which can be accessed from the website aicte-cmat.in.

Test Fee:

The candidates will have to pay the requisite amount of exam fee from any nearest test centres.

Rs.1200 + bank Charges for all the Unreserved Candidates

Rs.600 + Bank Charges for SC/ST/PD Candidates

Pattern of Exam:

There will be an objective type paper 400 Marks containing questions on the following main sections:

Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation (25 Questions)

Logical Reasoning (25 Questions)

Language Comprehension (25 Questions) and

General Awareness (25 Questions)

The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer marked by him/ her whereas a deduction of 1 mark for every wrong answers attempted by them.

Agartala, Ahmadabad, Ahmednagar, Allahabad, Amravati, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bhuj, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Jamshedpur, Noida, Navi Mumbai, Jammu, Jaipur, Varanasi, Vishakhapatnam, Nasik, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kochi, Davangere, Dehradun, Vadodra, Raipur, Srinagar, Panaji, Kolhapur, Delhi, Ludhiana, Gulbarga, Dhanbad, Durgapur, Kozhikode, Pune, Patna, Surat, Trivandrum, Mysore, Jabalpur, Indore, Gurgaon, Ranchi, Udaipur, Mangalore, Dharwad, Kolkata, Shimla, Rajkot, Meerut, Indore, Mumbai, Durgapur, and Kozhikode respectively

Selection Process:

The candidates appearing in the entrance exam will be shortlisted on the basis of the merit and cut off as decided by the respective state governments for this purpose. If there is no central counseling then there will be selection simply based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the concerned exams.

Steps to online registration:

Ist Step: Register yourself on the website to fill the online applications. Read the instructions carefully and proceed for registration. Submit the registration form only after confirming that all the details of the applicants are entered in the correct manner

IInd Step: Pay the requisite application fee in either of the formats as made available for this purpose

IIIrd Step: Pay the application fee through any State bank of India branches through online system generated challan in three copies before the date of closing registration
