The Hidayatullah National Law University is the sixth National law Schools of India situated in Raipur. Established as per the Hidayatullah National University of Law Chhattisgarh Act (Act No. 10 of 2003) the university is recognized by the Bar Council if India u/s 7 of the Advocates Act. The university admissions are announced through CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) every year for the eligible applicants.
The HNLU is a residential university providing admissions in a number of disciplines including the following: Juridical & Social Sciences, Constitutional & Administrative Governance, International Legal Studies, Science, Technology & Sustainable Development, Business & Global Trade Laws Development and Administrative of Justices, Continuing & Clinical Legal Education respectively.

Admission Details for Hidayatullah National Law University:
The university provides admission in the following courses through the common entrance exams as specified for this purpose.
Courses of Admission:
1. Under Graduate Courses
2. Post Graduate Courses
3. Ph.D Courses respectively
Admission Criteria:
The applicants will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) 2014 in the LLM and LLB/BA LLB courses respectively. The admission to the doctoral programmes of the university will be done on the basis of the common entrance exam as conducted by the university specifically for this purpose.
PhD Course Admission Announced-
The university has recently announced the dates for the conduct of the admission test to select students in the doctoral programmes. The applicants are invited to fill forms for admissions to the full time PhD Programmes online. The applicants will be required to pay Rs 1500 as the application form fee and Rs 1000 as the admission fee to enroll in the concerned programme of the university. The application form fee can be paid in the form of Demand Drafts drawn in favor of the “Registrar, Hidayatullah, National Law University Raipur”. The applicants qualifying in the written test will be called for the interview scheduled to be held at the university premises only.

Eligibility for PhD:
The applicants in order to enroll in the PhD courses of the university must be a Masters Degree in Law from any BCI recognized colleges/ university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) for this purpose. The applicants who are UGC-NET/ SLET qualified will be exempted from the entrance exam as conducted by the university for this purpose.
