JEE Exam 2014 Details of Eligibility & Admission Criteria

The Joint Entrance Examination 2014 is scheduled to be held in April 2014 for all the eligible applicants in order to avail admissions in the National Institute of Technology and IIITs and other engineering colleges participating in the concerned exam. The Exam is an All India Level Exam conducted across different states in India. The minimum eligibility to appear in the JEE Exam is Intermediate/ Class 12th in the Science (PCM) Group from any recognized central /state boards of India. The candidates who have applied in the JEE 2014 has been already declared at the website. The candidates can download their Admit Cards online from the website of the JEE 2014 in the manner as stated here below.

JEE Main Application Form Details

JEE Main 2014 Exam:

The JEE Main Exam has been declared for this session (2014-2015). The candidates appearing in the concerned exam can get all the details of the exam from the website of the JEE i.e. jeemain.nic.in. The exam, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, will be held on the dates as specified for this purpose in April 2014. The candidates can give the exam in both the online and offline modes.

The Information Brochures are available online for the candidates to go through the new eligibility and selection criteria for the concerned exam. The candidates are advised to read the details of eligibility before applying in the exam.

Exam Pattern:

The JEE Main Exam 2014 will be having two question papers. The first paper is organized for the admission of candidates in the Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology courses. The second paper of the JEE Mains exam is for the candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Archeology and Bachelor of Planning respectively.

The Second Paper will be held only in offline modes for all the applicants whereas the paper one is available in both the online as well as offline modes for the candidates.

Subjects of Study for JEE 2014:

Paper 1 (Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology): Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Paper 2 (Bachelor of Archeology/ Bachelor of Planning): Mathematics I, Aptitude Test II and Drawing Test III

 The candidates will be allowed to sit in the JEE (Main) Exam thrice only subject to their age limits as required for this exam.

Application Details:

Online applications are invited for the exam through jeemain.nic.in. The candidates can download their online bulletin to read the eligibility conditions and then they can apply online in the prescribed manner. The candidates should make sure that they must take a print of the acknowledgement slip after their successfully register online at the concerned website. All the eligible applicants should pay the application fee as given below through the internet payment/ system-generated online Challans as made available online at the website for this purpose.

Application Fee:

For JEE (Main) Paper I Offline Exam: Rs.1000 (Boys) and Rs.500 (Girls)

For JEE (Main) Paper II Offline Exam: Rs.1800 (Boys) and Rs.900 (Girls)

For JEE (Main) Paper I Online Exam: Rs.600 (Boys) and Rs.300 (Girls)

For JEE (Main) Paper II Online Exam: Rs.1400 (Boys) and Rs.700 (Girls)

Dates for Exam:

Online Exam: Paper I -9th, 11th, 12th & 19th April 2014

Offline Exam: Paper I& II- 6th April 2014
