Kumaun University invites applicants for admissions in its oncoming academic session every year. Therefore, enthusiastic aspirants are advised to apply through online/ offline method as soon as the official advertisement for admission is published on its website i.e. kunainital.ac.in. The University offers many UG and PG programmes at its campus and other affiliated institutes and colleges. Some of the major courses which are offered in this university are listed below:-
The University will be conducting a Common Entrance exam at its various centers for selection of the applicants for admission to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. The applicants willing for admission will be selected solely on the base of their Merit which will be decided according to their preliminary screening and subsequent performance in the admission test/GD/PI to be conducted by the Department.
PG Programmes- Aspirants should be in Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline for PG courses from any recognized university.
Ph.D Programmes- Aspirants should have completed their Masters/ Post Graduation from the relevant discipline under a recognized College or University.
UG Programmes- Aspirants should have passed their Intermediate or 10+2 exam for admission to these programmes.
How to apply:
Eligible and keen aspirants, who fulfill all the requirements of their preferred programme, are suggested to download their respective application formats from the official website- kunainital.ac.in. After downloading this form, they must deposit the recommended application fee charged by the university through DD or Bank Challan. Once candidates successfully issue these payments, they are supposed to send the duly filled form to the prescribed University address along with the Pay in slip/ DD and copies of other required documents.
The Kumaun University, a residential-cum-affiliating university, was entrenched on 1st December 1973 under the Act of State Legislature (U P State Universities Act), and is a permanent member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It has 35 affiliated government colleges; and nearly equivalent affiliated self-financed private institutions spread across the Kumaun region. The total area covered by the university so far is an inspiring 160 acres. The wonderfully planned colleges combine in perfectly with the nearby structural design and complete the breath taking landscape.
