The candidates applying for the following post will have to pay an application fees of Rs.100.The SC/ST/PH/Female Candidates are exempted from payment from payment of application fees. The candidates can pay through both online and offline mode.

The candidates should be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 01.01.2017.The candidates belonging to the SC/ST category will be given age relaxation benefit for five years. LDC Exam Pattern, Paper Pattern of SSC LDC & DEO Recruitment

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the combined entrance exam held at an all India level for the recruitment of the eligible applicants in the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) respectively. The exam is popularly called as the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL). A lot of candidates appear every year in the concerned exam scheduled to be held mostly in the months of September/ October for all the candidates. Those candidates who are preparing for the concerned entrance exam can go through the details of the examination including the paper pattern and qualifying criteria from the information as given below.

Name of Exam: Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination

Conducting Authority: Staff Selection Commission

For Recruitment to: Lower Division Clerks, Data Entry Operator

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be at least intermediate/ Class 12th passed from any recognized Higher Secondary Boards of Education in India for this purpose.

Exam Pattern:

The candidates will have to appear in an objective type paper having multiple choice based questions on the following main topics:

General Intelligence: 50 Questions (50 Marks)

English Language (Basic Knowledge): 50 Question (50 Marks)

Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill): 50 Questions (50 Marks) and

General Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks)

Total Number of Questions: 200

Total Marks Allotted: 200

Duration of Exam: 2 hours/ 120 minutes

Modes of Examination:

The candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer marked by them whereas a deduction of 0.25 marks will be done for every wrong answer marked by them.

The paper will be having questions in both the languages- English as well as Hindi respectively.

Typing Test for LDC:

The written exam shall be followed by a skill test to be conducted for all the written qualified candidates in the concerned exam.

Qualifying Criteria:

The candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words /minute in the English Medium and 30 Words/ Minute for all the Hindi Medium applicants respectively
