MP PET Exam 2014 Paper Pattern and Qualifying Criteria Details

The Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test (MP PET) is the qualifying exam for the admission of all the eligible applicants in the different under graduate courses offered by the 159 institutes participating in the concerned entrance exam. The exam is held every year in the months of March /April respectively. Name of Exam: Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Entrance Test

Conducting Authority: Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board

Courses of Admission: BE (Bachelor of Engineering); B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy), B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ (Forestry)/ (Agricultural Engineering)/ (Horticulture)/ (Agriculture & Entrepreneurship) respectively

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should intermediate/ Class 12th passed from Higher Secondary Board, Madhya Pradesh or any other equivalent Board as recognized for this purpose. Those who have passed the final year Diploma in engineering from the Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education Bhopal/ Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Bhopal can also apply in the concerned entrance exam.

The qualifying age of all the applicants should not be exceeding 21 years with effect from 1st October of the concerned year in which he/ she applies to take admissions.

Exam Pattern:

There shall be objective type questions having multiple choice based answers on the following main topics: Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology respectively.

Total Number of Questions: 200

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

There will be two parts in the paper. The first part shall have questions on either of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology (100 Questions). The second part shall consist of 100 questions on any of the following subjects: Physics & Chemistry/ Physics & Biology /Physics & Biotechnology respectively.

Marking Criteria:

The candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer marked by them while there will be deduction of no marks in case of wrong attempts made by the candidates.

Applying Method:

The candidates can apply online at the website mponline.gov.in or vyapam.nic.in by paying the registration fee of Rs.500 + Rs.50 as the online service charge for this purpose. The candidates can pay the required application fee either through online modes (credit/ debit cards) or cash deposits made at any of the nearest branches of the State Bank of India with additional Bank Charges in the form of Rs25 for such payment made.
