Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya Admission 2014 Details for the B.Ed Course
The Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya Odisha has announced the admission notification for the selection of eligible candidates in the Bachelor of Education (Shikshashastri). The applicants interested should apply in the specified manner as given in the notification before the closing dates of admission. The candidates shall be selected on the basis of an entrance exam scheduled to be held on 8th June 2014 for this purpose. The Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya has been established on 7th July 1981. The university offers higher education in a number of disciplines including the following: Dharamshastra, Nyaya, Sahitya, Sarvadarshan, Veda, Vyakaran, Advaita Vedanta, Jyotirvigyan, Physical Education, Computer Application and Shiksha Shastri respectively.

Eligibility for Test:
The applicants should be having either of the following degrees- Shastri /BA /MA/ Acharya or any other degree equivalent thereto. The candidates should qualify in the Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (SSET) with Sanskrit as a subject in the qualifying degree exam. Also the qualifying age for admissions to the concerned course should be not less than 20 years brought into effect from 1st June 2014.

Reservation Criteria:
The applicants belonging to the SC/ST/ PH categories will be provided about 80% and 20% of the total seats while taking admissions in the concerned course of the university.
Apart from this, an additional 20% seats shall be reserved for the students of the SJSV (Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya) for this purpose.
Applying Details for B.ED (Shiksha Shastri) Admissions 2014:
The candidates interested to apply for the concerned course of the university can apply in either of the modes- online / offline as per their conveniences. The application forms can be downloaded from the website sjsv.nic.in. The candidates can also avail their admission forms offline by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 500 in favor of the “Comptroller of Finance, S.J.S.V. Puri” payable at the State Bank of India, SJSVV Branch Puri. The completed application forms should be sent to the address specified below along with the following enclosures: Mark Sheets and Certificates of the qualifying examination, Identity Card of SSET, Admit Card of SSET, DD, Stamped Envelope super scribed as “Application for SSET 2014” respectively.
