SLET Examination Pattern 2016

SLET stands for State Level Eligibility Test and is the modified version of NESLET (North East State Level Eligibility Test). It is authorized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) to the State Agencies or the State Governments to conduct the examination for the position of Lecturers provided; the SLET is duly accredited by the UGC. The member States of SLET currently are Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

The organization publishes its notification in the Employment Newspaper and the official web page of SLET which is “sletne.org”. The website of the SLET “sletonline.in” to fill up the application form and obtain various details becomes active from the starting of the July month and is available till the last of the month of September. The examination is conducted by the organization in the month of September normally.

Organization is willing to accept applications from all the applicants who qualify the eligibility criteria required for it. The pattern of examination of SET 2016 is given below –

Pattern of Examination (SLET 2016)

Three Papers together comprise the examination for SLET viz a viz – Paper I, Paper II and Paper III. The examination is conducted in one day with two shifts allotted for the three papers (exactly the same pattern as followed by the NET/ JRF Examinations). All the questions in the three set will consists of Objective Type Question like Multiple Choices, Matching, Assertion and Reasoning, True and False etc.

(I) Timing of Examination – 09 am to 11: 45 pm and 01 pm to 03:30 pm

(II) Duration of Each Paper –

1) First Session –
(i) Paper I –
1 and ¼ hours
(ii) Paper II – 1 and ¼ hours
2) Second Paper (Paper II) – 2 and ½ hours

(III) Total Number of Questions –

1) First Session – Total 110 questions
(i) Paper I –
Total 60 questions (Only 50 questions must be answered)
(ii) Paper II – Total 50 compulsory questions
2) Second Paper (Paper II) – Total 75 compulsory questions

(IV) Total Marks assigned on Each Papers –

1) First Session – Total 200 Marks
(i) Paper I –
50 X 2 = 100 Marks (2 marks each for 50 questions)
(ii) Paper II – 50 X 2 = 100 Marks (2 marks each for 50 questions)
2) Second Paper (Paper II) – 75 X 2 = 150 Marks (2 marks each for 75 questions)
