Applicants must be Intermediate pass/ HSC or its equivalent from any recognized board of Secondary Education with a minimum of 70% aggregate scores in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry for all programmes, whereas, the same scores in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry if applying for biotechnology, biomedical engineering and genetic engineering. |

Selection Process:
Keen aspirants will have to appear in a common entrance test, namely, SRMEE 2014 (SRM University Entrance Exam) for admittance to any of the above mentioned courses. The latest SRMEE test was held on 22nd April, 2014 by the University at its different centres. The assortment of candidates will take place on the basis of their performance in this exam entirely. Shortlisted candidates thereon will be invited for the counseling round. Applicants, who fail to sit for these Entrance exams, will not be admissible in any case.
Applying Online:
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria in accordance with the official prospectus are supposed to apply online for admissions via srmuniv.ac.in . However applicants may also obtain the same from selected branches of Axis Bank, City Union Bank, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and post offices as mentioned in the aforesaid web portal. If applying online, candidates must fill the online application form cautiously and deposit the application fee of Rs.900/-. This payment is to be made through e-payment/ Unique Voucher Code, or Demand Draft drawn in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Finally submit the completed form after successful payment and take a print out of it. Now forward it to the University address so that it reaches before the announced last dates.
