VITEEE Exam 2015 Details of Eligibility, Selection & Application declared online at vit.ac.in

The VITEEE or VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is a computer based eligibility test conducted every year to short list candidates under various engineering programmes offered by the VIT University. The exam is taken by students from all over India for enrollment in the regular full time engineering degree programmes. The test for the current academic year has been scheduled by the university to be conducted on following dates: 8th April 2015 to 19th April 2015. Vellore Institute of Technology is a deemed to be university providing admissions in both graduate as well master level programmes under Engineering/ Technology at its Vellore and Chennai campuses.

VITEEE Exam Pattern Details

Details of VITEEE 2015-

Name of Exam: Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam

Conducting Organization: VIT University

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants who wish to appear in the entrance exam must have completed final examination of Intermediate from any recognized boards of India or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE New Delhi), Intermediate or two year Pre University Examination or High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of International Baccalaureate Office Geneva or General Certificate Examination at Advanced Level with a minimum of 60% marks obtained in the Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Mathematics subjects at 10+2 level.

Schemata of Exam:

The VITEEE shall be a computer based test having objective type questions divided into following Parts- Part 1- Physics /Part-II- Chemistry/ Part III- Mathematics/ Biology respectively. There shall be 40 questions in each part having 4 alternative questions per question. There will be no negative marking in case of wrong attempts hence, applicants can do as many questions as they like.

Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

Selection Procedure:

Those candidates who obtain marks more than the cut off prescribed and clear merit shall be called for counseling scheduled to be held at college campus only. Those applicants who answer questions of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be eligible to get admissions in the following courses: B.Tech Bio Medical Engineering, Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engineering (Spec. in Bioinformatics) respectively.

Application Procedure:

Applications can be made in either of the modes- online/ offline. Those applicants who are submitting their applications online must retain a printed copy of filled in forms for their future references. Offline forms can be obtained by sending a DD of Rs 990 drawn in favor of “VIT University” payable at Vellore along with a covering letter addressed to –“Director- UG Admissions” VIT University, Vellore- 632014.

Date for Application Form Issue Commencement: 1st December 2014

Date of Entrance Examination: 8th April 2015 to 19th April 2015

Date of Result Declaration: 30th April 2015
