The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced dates for the application and examination conducted every year twice in June/ December months for research and lectureship eligibility test, National Eligibility Test, officially at its website. All those applicants who are eagerly waiting to participate in this examination may note the major details of eligibility, application and selection procedure etc from the website by official advertisement published with reference to Advt. No. 10-2(5)/ 2015(i) –E.U.II or simply go through the information as provided here below.
Online registration for the CSIR-UGC NET 2015 Exam shall begin at the website from 13th February 2015 and continue till 12th March 2015 only.
Details of CSIR UGC NET 2015-
Name of Exam: National Eligibility Test
Conducting Organization: University Grants Commission
Post of Recruitment: JRF and Assistant Professor /Lectureship
Eligibility for Exam:
Candidates should possess post graduate degrees in full time (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Pharmacy or MBBS or BS-MS /M.Sc. Integrated) courses of 4 year duration under the following subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering Sciences respectively passed with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD Candidates) obtained in aggregate. Those applicants who are in the final year of M.Sc. Course may also apply provided they can pass the same by the time of results declaration.
The maximum ages should not exceed 28 years for applicants of JRF (NET) as on 1st January 2015. There will be no limitation in ages for LS (NET) applicants.
Pattern of Examination:
The candidates will be required to answer MCQ (Multiple Choice based questions) in the following major subjects –
1) Life Sciences
2) Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
3) Mathematical Sciences
4) Chemical Sciences
5) Physical Sciences
6) Engineering Sciences
Total Marks: 200
Total Exam Duration: 3 Hours
*Negative Marking for wrong attempts shall be applicable as per the subject wise scheme laid out for this exam.
Schedule of Examination:
Morning Session: 9:00 -12:00
Afternoon Session: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Manner of Selection:
The applicants will be required to score the minimum percentage of marks as specified for qualifying this examination.
Criteria of Applications:
Applicants need to apply online at the website of CSIR-UGC i.e. csirhrdg.res.in. The online filled in applications have to be sent along with DD of stated application fees in an envelope super scribed with Subject Code, Centre Code and Medium Code to the address as mentioned here below.
